What Are FIT Files?
FIT (Flexible and Interoperable Data Transfer) is the standard file format used by Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead and most other cycling computers to store recorded activity data. Every ride your head unit saves - GPS coordinates, timestamps, heart rate, power, cadence, speed, altitude and temperature - ends up in a single .fit file. Platforms like Strava, TrainingPeaks and GoldenCheetah all import this format, making it the universal exchange file for cycling data.
This viewer parses your .fit file directly in the browser and plots each data channel on a synchronized, interactive chart. You can toggle individual series on and off - for example, show only power and heart rate to spot cardiac drift, or isolate cadence to check pedaling consistency. The summary statistics above the chart update to match whatever channels and time range you have selected.
Cropping and Exporting
Zoom into any portion of the chart and you will see a "Download Cropped Activity" button appear. This lets you cut out a specific segment - say, a single climb, an interval block or a race effort - and export it as a standalone .fit file. The cropped file is a valid FIT file that you can upload to any training platform. This is useful when your head unit recorded extra time before the start or after the finish, or when you want to isolate one effort from a longer ride for closer analysis.
Your files are processed entirely on our server during your session and are not stored permanently. Once you leave the page or upload a new file, the previous data is discarded.
